Numbness & Tingling in Hands When Sleeping

Quite often, I see a patient who comes in with numbness and tingling in their hands when they sleep or lie down.  This is a very treatable condition with chiropractic care, with which I have had great success.

First, I determine where the pinching is coming from. Pinched nerves in the neck, upper back, arm, or wrist can cause numbness.  A physical and orthopedic examination is performed, sometimes including x-rays, to determine where the problem is.

Adjustments of the neck, upper back, shoulder, or wrist are very effective in relieving the pinched nerve.  Also, muscle work, stretching, and wearing a wrist brace at night assist in the recover of the numbness and tingling.  Acupuncture can also be a very effective treatment for more chronic or complicated cases.

If you are suffering with any numbness or tingling, please call my office at 952-746-5612 or schedule online.

I look forward to taking great care of you!
