CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between structure and function within the body. Your nervous system, which is housed within the structure of the spinal column, coordinates the function of every tissue, organ and cell throughout the body. When the bones of the spinal column are properly aligned and freely moving, communication between the brain and the body is free flowing which allows your body to function at an optimal level. When there is a loss of proper alignment and function in the spine, the result is both pain at the site of dysfunction, as well as obstructed communication between the brain and the body. These areas of misalignment or dysfunction are referred to as subluxations.

The job of a chiropractor is to properly identify and remove subluxations, therefore taking stress off of the nervous system and restoring free flowing communication. This is primarily done through hands on manual adjustments, though there are a variety of techniques that can be used depending on the individual. We like to say that one size doesn’t fit all in chiropractic, and work to find the right fit for each patient.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your first visit at Thrive Chiropractic will consist of a full consult and exam with the doctor, as well as any x-rays that the doctor may find necessary for the management of your care. This visit is designed for us to gather the information we need to put together an appropriate plan for your care.

At your follow up visit, also called your report of findings, we will review the information we gathered during the exam, discuss your goals for care, and have a recommendation for your treatment plan. We will also have any information regarding insurance coverage prepared to review.
