CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Simply stated, our experienced Minnetonka chiropractors offer a personalized, hands on & holistic approach to wellness.  Through listening, education, and utilization of a variety of techniques, we provide effective solutions.  Read on to learn more about how chiropractic care works.

Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between structure and function within your body. The nervous system is housed within the structure of the spinal column.  It coordinates the function of every tissue, organ, and cell throughout the body. Therefore, when the bones of the spinal column are properly aligned and freely moving, communication between the brain and the body is free flowing.  This allows your body to function at an optimal level. In contrast, a loss of proper alignment and function in the spine results in pain at the site of dysfunction and obstructed communication between the brain and the body. These areas of misalignment or dysfunction are referred to as subluxations.

Above all, chiropractors work to properly identify and remove subluxations, therefore taking stress off of the nervous system and restoring free flowing communication. We do this primarily through hands on manual adjustments, though there are a variety of techniques that can be used depending on the individual.  In addition, we look at your body as a whole and how the different parts interact.  For example, we evaluate how the feet or knees may influence the low back and hips. One size doesn’t fit all in chiropractic, and we work to find the right fit for each patient.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your first visit at Thrive Chiropractic of Minnetonka will consist of a full consult and exam with the doctor, as well as any x-rays that the doctor may find necessary for the management of your care. This visit is designed for us to gather the information we need to put together an appropriate plan for your care.

We’ll also schedule a follow up visit, also called your report of findings.  Together, we will review information gathered during the exam and recommend a treatment plan based on your goals. We will also review any information regarding insurance coverage.
